Adoption Timeline

In this post, I decided to show you our adoption timeline. I documented everything from day one! I also attached a picture from the Lifeline China Reunion in July 2005.

• Oct. 28. 2004 Mailed in Lifeline Children's Services Application
• Nov. 22, 2004 Mailed our first packet to Lifeline
• Nov. 22, 2004 Mailed our application to the CIS
• Nov. 26, 2004 Blair and I had our fingerprints done at the Randolph County Jail
• Nov. 29, 2004 Acquired Birth Cert and Marriage Cert.
• Dec. 1, 2004 Phone Interview with Karla our Social Worker
• Dec. 4, 2004 Received our fingerprint packet from CIS and our I-600 receipt
• Dec. 8, 2004 Went to B'ham to the Immigration office for our prints
• Dec. 8, 2004 We had our second meeting with Karla at Lifeline in B'ham
• Dec. 8, 2004 Vicki and Nathan had their physicals with Dr. Robinson
• Dec. 9, 2004 Blair's physical at Southwire
• Dec. 20, 2004 Received DHR clearances (fingerprints at jail)
• Jan. 5, 2005 Certificate of No Criminal Record signed and notarized
• Jan. 7, 2005 Third meeting with Karla at Lifeline in B'ham (Nathan went too!)
• Jan. 7, 2005 Mailed passport applications
• Jan. 7, 2005 Took all of our pets to get rabies certifications
• Jan. 19, 2005 Jenn from Lifeline came to our house for the Homestudy (we passed)
• Jan. 22, 2005 Blair, Vicki and Nathan received thier passports
• Jan. 27, 2005 Blair took his statement of profession and medical report to be county certified
• Jan. 28, 2005 Mailed Georgia documents to be State Certified
• Feb. 4, 2005 Homestudy sent to Montgomery via Karla at Lifeline
• Feb. 4, 2005 Received Georiga State documents back
• Mar. 4, 2005 Homestudy approved, sent copy to Atlanta to CIS; Copy also sent to Jefferson County Probate Court to be County Certified; Then Fed-Exed to me!
• Mar. 9, 2005 Received 171 H, CIS approval
• Mar. 10, 2005 Received Homestudy via FedEx
• Mar. 11, 2005 Vicki to Montgomery to Secertary of State to have all documents State Certified
• Mar. 12, 2005 All documents to Texas for authentication process at the Consulate via FedEx
• Mar. 14, 2005 Sent last minute items to Lifeline (copy of Dossier, family pics, copy of passports)
• Mar. 22, 2005 Karla received Authentication from Texas
• Mar. 22, 2005 Karla mailed Dossier to China DTC
• Mar. 25, 2005 Lilly in China received our Dossier- Lilly sent Dossier to CCAA
• Apr. 14, 2005 Recieved important "Brown Packet" from Guangzhou
• May 2, 2005 Email from Karla LID 4/22/05
• May 31, 2005 Travel meeting in B'ham
• July 4, 2005 Painted Kellum-Ann's Room
• July 23, 2005 China Reunion with Lifeline @ Briarwood Presbyterian Church in B'ham; Lilly here from China
• Sep. 20, 2005 Kellum's furniture was delivered
